Projects

This project empowers young people in schools to lead local climate action by transforming their learning environments into vibrant hubs of sustainability. Many Kenyan schools sit on degraded land with minimal greenery, contributing to erosion, harsh microclimates, and low environmental awareness. Climate education is often theoretical, with few chances for students to connect with nature in meaningful, practical ways.
Through tree planting, organic gardens, and composting, students lead environmental change on their school grounds. They grow and monitor indigenous trees, cultivate vegetables using eco-friendly methods, and turn organic waste into compost—gaining practical skills in regenerative agriculture, climate science, and pest control.
These schools become living laboratories where stewardship, leadership, and innovation flourish. The result is new generation of climate-conscious students spreading sustainable habits into their homes and communities.

The project restores degraded riparian lands while improving livelihoods for local farmers, especially women and youth by integrating tree planting, regenerative agriculture, and beekeeping. Riverbank ecosystems are essential for water regulation, biodiversity, and climate resilience, yet many have been damaged by erosion, deforestation, and poor land use. By combining ecological restoration with community-led action, we are helping to heal these fragile landscapes while strengthening rural economies.
Working closely with farmers, we plant indigenous and fruit trees to stabilize soils, reduce runoff, and rebuild natural buffers. Alongside this, we promote agroforestry, food production, and alternative income sources like beekeeping. Farmers receive hands-on training in soil and water conservation methods ensuring that restored riparian areas become vibrant examples of how healthy ecosystems and sustainable livelihoods can thrive together.

This project equips youth with practical skills in climate-smart agriculture and agribusiness—unlocking their potential to lead sustainable food systems and build resilient livelihoods. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and leadership development, young people gain experience across the agri-food value chain, from regenerative production to processing and marketing.
By promoting green entrepreneurship and sustainable practices, the project creates dignified work opportunities, enhances food security, and helps reduce rural-urban migration. The training sparks innovative business ideas among youth participants, empowering a new generation to drive climate action and economic renewal in their communities.
